Karbonn Titanium Octane and Octane Plus made cheaper on Snapdeal

The Karbonn Titanium Octane and Octane Plus smartphones which were introduced by the company back in March this year have been blessed with respective price cuts today. However, these reduced amounts only apply to units sold via Snapdeal.



While the mid-range Titanium Octane smartphone will be offered for Rs 2500 less than before, at Rs 11990, the Octane Plus will have its price slashed by Rs 4000, taking its asking amount down to Rs 13990. This price drop may be due to the entry of smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi3 and the Asus ZenFone 5 which are being offered by Flipkart right now.

The Karbonn Titanium Octane ships with a 5-inch IPS display which garners a resolution of 720p HD. It runs on a 1.7GHz octa core processor and features the Android 4.4 KitKat OS. A 13MP camera can be found on its rear surface, whereas a 5MP front snapper also forms part of its offerings.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 may have a weird name, but it has gone official in India featuring a pretty alluring design and a decent offering of specs. The handset is being sold exclusively through Snapdeal where it’s priced at 7999 and is already available to purchase.



The Oplus XonPhone 5 is the second device to reach India from the Taiwanese company. Snapdeal introduces Click Pro sports camera and Alpha Feather smartphone

Snapdeal has revealed an Alpha Feather smartphone and a Click Pro sports camera, both products that have been introduced in India as part of its Launchpad program. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, let’s bring you up to speed before talking more about these two devices.

The online retailer had taken the wraps off a Launchpad initiative for individuals or companies interested in bringing a commercially viable idea to life. Snapdeal goes through submissions, picks out the best of them and then helps the brains behind them to develop these products and sell them online.

The Click Pro and Alpha Feather are the fruits of this program and there are more to arrive in the future. The latter claims to be the world’s lightest 5-inch phone at 125 grams and hence the hint of weightlessness in its name. It is being sold in color options of yellow, white, black or pink and runs Android KitKat 4.4.

Its Snapdeal page reveals some impressive specifications, though products by little known brands always manage to sound like dodgy prospects to most people including us.
