Addicted to your iPhone? New app will help you use it less

Do you sleep next to your iPhone? We thought so. Maybe it’s time you took control of your addiction.
This new app could help you, well, use less apps.
‘Moment’ claims it can help reduce your iPhone usage by keeping track of how much time you spend on the awesome piece of tech.

As you learn how much time you spend on your phone you can set a daily limit. The app will ‘nudge’ you when you start getting close to going over that limit.
You can even set your phone to automatically turn off if you breach your daily quota – forcing you to drop the device and enjoy life (or switch it back on if that latest match on Tinder was way out of your league).
The app was built by fellow iPhone addict Kevin Holesh.
He wrote on his blog: ‘I crave being constantly connected to everything and I’m anxious when I’m not. I like being able to check my email, tweet this picture of my meal, or answer the text from my sister from anywhere in the world.
‘About six months ago, I realized I had a serious problem. I was addicted to my phone.
‘That’s when I decided to build a real solution.’
The first step is admitting.
