Motorola Plans to Launch 8 New Devices by End of Year

Motorola, is developing 8 new devices which it is planning to launch by end of the year, as per an Economic Times report. The devices may be successor to the Moto X & Moto G along with DROID handsets by its partner company, Verizon.

At present, the company offers Moto E, Moto X, Moto G and also in process to release the successor to the Moto X. In January, It had made investment in 6 companies, till now and purchased 6 companies, but before its acquisition.

In January 2014, Lenovo had signed a deal with Google to acquire the Motorola Mobility smartphone business for USD 2.91 billion including USD 1.41B paid at close. Google was to maintain the ownership of the vast majority of the Motorola Mobility patent portfolio, including current patent applications and invention disclosures. But, as part of its ongoing relationship with Google, Lenovo was to receive a license to this rich portfolio of patents and other intellectual property.
