Apple has let iTunes Extras loose on its Apple TV. The service, which was earlier limited to iTunes on your desktop, will now be available on your Apple TV and soon on your iPad and iPhone as well.
iTunes extras was a hit with movie buffs as it provided unseen footages directly on their iTunes software on the desktop systems. But this was earlier more of a one time thing that studios loaded and came along with a movie when subscribed to Extras. Apple has now launched a refreshed kit on its iTunes Extras page that will now allow clients to upload and keep updating this content from the stuff that was locked up in their studios.
What this means is that if you already happened to have an old movie, which you purchased earlier on iTunes, you will soon see updated content showing up for that as well. Pretty neat stuff we would say; especially for those who love watching movies.
What’s more is that all of the above and cast interviews, exclusive clips, behind-the-scenes footage, and photo galleries will be heading for your iOS device so that you can plug in even when you are mobile.
