Microsoft
recently released Snap
Attack, a word-building game for Android that places players against
each other in a beat the clock tournament challenge. Games consist of two
and a half minute rounds, where players from across the globe compete with each
other using colored movable word tiles to “snap” together words on fixed black
letter tiles across the game board.
At
the end of each round, scores are added to a real-time leaderboard ranking
players by score. Similar to a crossword puzzle or Scrabble, words can be
created from left to right and top to bottom. Snaps are scored based on
letter count, so the more tiles used in a word, the higher its value
and you can also add on to an existing snap to score even more points. Snap
Attack is free to play, but its in-game ads are unavoidable. However, if you’re
looking for a fun word game to kill some free time, Microsoft’s latest
effort is definitely worth its required 21MB of storage space.
