Earlier this
month, Australia's ratings board for video games gave Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 a
classification, and Aussie-based studio Halfbrick neither denied nor
comment on any sequel in reply. Now the ESRB in the United States has given a
rating to Fruit Ninja Kinect 2, saying the game is for Xbox One.
While Kinect
in the title obviously restricts this to Xbox platforms, the 360 is not
mentioned by the listing, so this release would appear to be next-gen only. The
description of the action doesn't vary from what's already known of Fruit Ninja Kinect(and regular Fruit Ninja, which started as a mobile title.)
We've
reached out to Halfbrick in case there's a cat to let fully out of the bag. Any
comment made will be updated here.
Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 is rated E but, typically, the ESRB still flags it for "alcohol
reference" simply because the fun facts it presents on menu screens
occasionally mention how fruit sometimes is used to create fermented beverages.
Guess that'll teach Halfbrick to include something educational.
