Maxx AXD11 GenxDroid7 dual SIM Android phone unveiled in India for Rs 3890

Will someone please tell Maxx Mobile that Maxx AXD11 GenxDroid7 is a name consumers would forget in a blinking even if the phone is priced at just Rs 3890 and they really want to buy it? The company apparently has no one with enough common sense to advise it not to brand handsets with monikers most folks wouldn’t remember if you put a gun to their head.

Maxx AXD11 GenxDroid7

Carrying on, the moronically named Maxx AXD11 GenxDroid7 has a 4-inch display delivering 800 x 480p resolution visuals. It gets its steam from the outdated Jelly Bean version of Android and merely 512MB of RAM. There’s 4GB of in-built memory space as well as a card slot for pushing the hoarding room up by another 32GB.

For nearly Rs 4000, Maxx Mobile could have put 1GB of RAM inside or at least, Android KitKat. The company’s not big on software updates after all and it’s always good to make potential buyers feel like they’re getting a decent deal for the money they’re paying. We’ve listed down the rest of the main specs granted to the GenxDroid7.

Maxx AXD11 GenxDroid7 key specs at a run:

- Works with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS
- Features 4-inch, 480 x 800p touchscreen
- 1GHz dual core processor inside
- 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory
- Storage expandable by 32GB more
- 3.2MP main camera w/ flash, 0.3MP webcam
- Measures 122.3mm x 62.3mm x 10.4mm
- Tips the scales at 71gm
- Powered by 1400mAh battery

Thank goodness this is the last time we have to mention the Maxx AXD11 GenxDroid7 – it’s available on Infibeam right now and is likely to reach other sales channels sooner than later. Arriving with a 16GB microSD card in tow, the handset is out in two standard color options of black and white.

Maxx MX200 is a feature phone out in India for Rs 1848

Indian OEM Maxx Mobile has launched a new feature phone going by the name MX200 in the country at a very reasonable price of Rs 1848. But this is not as interesting as the company’s claim about it being one of the nation’s biggest brands for mobile phones and accessories, according to no one but Maxx Mobile or its PR agents.

Maxx MX200

For the present, the company does not figure among the top 5 mobile vendors in India and has been clubbed with ‘Others’ in the latest IDC report about handset market here. Coming back to the Maxx MX200, it is a basic device for those looking out for a backup or for first-time phone users.

In case you didn’t get it upon your first glance at this Maxx Mobile product’s orange and black or full black colored exterior, its rugged body is built to withstand some horseplay in all kinds of weather conditions. Since battery life is so important to users, the company has fitted in a big 5200mAh power house which can deliver about 11 hours of talk time.

Maxx MX200 specs run-through:

- 2.4-inch screen
- 8GB expandable memory
- Basic camera
- GPRS, Bluetooth, FM radio
- Dual SIM support
- 130.8mm x 57.3mm x 28.3mm
- 187.5gm
- 5200mAh battery
- Hindi, Gujarati, English support

Apart from this, the previously launched MX100 has also been upgraded from a 4400mAh battery to a 5200mAh power unit. The idea is to allow the feature phones to supply power to other compatible gadgets and since both can go on for a long time between charges, they are packaged as ideal handsets for those who live in regions facing frequent electricity blackouts.

Infibeam is currently selling the Maxx MX200 for Rs 1849, while the MX100 is going at Rs 1571.

Maxx Mobile to unveils a wave of 8 feature phones and 9 smartphones

Maxx Mobile is going to drown us in a pile of 17 new handsets including 9 smartphones within the next few weeks, talk about batting for quantity over quality. But we’re not surprised because the company does this now and then, having launched 15 gadgets in August 2013 and 26 devices in January 2014.
And get this, the Maxx Mobile smartphones will carry price tags reading anything between Rs 2000 and Rs 6000. The ones pegged from Rs 2000 to Rs 3500 will reportedly be aimed at people upgrading from basic handsets and certain models will be sold only through Online Retailers. Well, if Celkon can manage an Android KitKat option for Rs 2999, this sounds doable too.
