Pioneer unveils new AV system in India with full navigation support

The Pioneer AVIC-F60BT is an audio-video system from the Japanese company which has been launched in India, equipped with a host of utilities aimed at enhancing the in-car experience. It has been priced at Rs 49990 and will be made available through authorized dealerships.

Toshiyuki Shindo who’s the managing director of the company’s operations in India has revealed that the AVIC in the model name of this product stands for Audio, Video, Information and Communication. This means it contains fairly advanced music controls and even delivers GPS navigation support, video playback and a lot more.

The Pioneer AVIC-F60BT features a Hybrid Navigation solution which works with CHIPS (Common Hardware for Integrated Positioning System) to proffer high level of accuracy in identifying a car’s position. The manufacturers of this product have also revealed that their partnership with MapmyIndia will help them deliver an ever better navigation experience thanks to traits like 3D Junction View, lane guidance, images of major locations and much more.

The Pioneer music system within this setup kicks in a 13-band graphic equalizer and comes equipped with support for technologies like DJ Mixtrax, Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and high-tolerance acoustic capacitors. This system supports input from iPhone and Android devices as well.

Other features which the AVIC-F60BT incorporates inside it include a dual backup camera, built-in Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free, MirrorLink and more. All this is facilitated by the 17.8cm WVGA touchscreen display which has been granted to it.
