Encouraged by the stupendous demand for its Mi3 smartphone, Chinese smartphone-maker, Xiaomi would be launching its other products all within this year and the Redmi 1S smartphone in a couple of weeks.
Xiaomi had made quite a stir with its Mi3 flash sale on Flipkart and all its handsets were sold within minutes in the four sales. The company apologized to the customers (approximately a lakh who have registered to get the handset) and said it has underestimated the Indian market’s demand.
Xiaomi Global VP Hugo Barra has now said that the company would be launching some of its other products in India and the Redmi 1S smartphone would be launched probably by the end of next week. The accessories of the smartphone would also be made available during its launch.
Next, the company is trying to launch the Redmi Note phablet priced at ₹9,999 during Diwali, as the company is aware that during the festive season the demand of such gadgets shoots up tremendously.
The last launch that has been tentatively schedule from the company is the Mi Pad and these would arrive in the country by the end of this year along with one of its other product the Mi4. These two products are undergoing certification in India.
Meanwhile, the company has said that accessories for the Mi3 would be arriving in India in another couple of weeks.
